Week 5: Thursday
THE GIVER:
Today in my reading, Jonas started his training. It would consist of long hours of trying to get all of the horrible memories that the community could not handle into his head. The Giver explained to him that it would not be easy and that some of the memories would be rather painful and hurtful but since he was called to be the up coming reaciever then he would just have to get used to it. When he started the memories were fin and he was learning all sorts of things that he never heard of like snow and a sled and just simple things like that. He even started to learn about colors and how many there were. This was definatley an amazing thing for him.

Week 5: Wednesday
THE GIVER:
Today in my reading, Jonas went up to the stage to find out what his assignment was. When he got up there the lady told the audience that Jonas had not been assigned and they were all surprised. The advisor said that he had been chosen . That meant that meant that he had been watched for many years and that the elders had made a decision to make the next receiver. Jonas knew that that position was one of the most powerful in the community. He was told that his training would have to be done apart and alone and that it would just be him and his teacher also known as the former receiver. They also told him that his training would involve some pain and that he would soon find out what that meant.

Week 5: Tuesday
THE GIVER:
Today in my reading, Jonas went to the ceremony for the ages and when they were calling the names he was skipped. The audience knew that the director had made a mistake and she knew it also but she just kept calling the other names like nothing was wrong. Once the last number was called she told the audience that she knew that she had made a mistake and asked them to forgive her and they did. She told Jonas that she was sorry for causing him anguish and and asked for his forgiveness as well. She called him up and told him his assignment.

Week 4: Wednesday
THE GIVER:
Today in my reading, Jonas was in school and one of his class mates was late and he had to make a public apology. He said that he was sorry that he was late and how he disrupted class because he was disturbed since salmon were being killed. The teacher smiled and proceeded with the lesson. Once Jonas got home they ate dinner and started their evening ritual. They started to talk about their feelings and his little sister said that she felt mad. She felt mad because a boy at her school was being bad and was not listening and she said that that was wrong. He father explained to her that he probably felt out of place and that this was not his home.

Week 4: Monday and Tuesday
THE RED PYRAMID:
Today in my reading, Carter and Sadie met up with their cat, Bass again. Bass told them on order to save their father they would need a magical book from the evil,Red's library but instead of walking they would have to fly. Cater thought that that was absurd and said that they could not fly because they were not birds and they were not on a plane. Bass said they he was right when ne said that they were not on a plane but very wrong when he said that they were not birds. Bass said that they were hosting gods and that they could turn into a bird for an amount of time.

Today in my reading, there was a boy named Jonas. He lived in a perfect little community where there were no toubles and nothing bad happened until that christmas. He saw a plane that was flying very low aroung the village and he knew that there were not supposed to be planes that low. This same thing happened twice and he had seen it both times. He started to feel very scared and frightened but he told himself that that was not the right word for it. It was something else, but the way he described sounded like being scared or frightened.

Today in my reading, Carter woke up and went to the breakfast room where he had a nice meal. Sadie woke to an ice cold bucket of water being thrown on her. She slept so late because of her dreams and her talkings last night. After she explores a little she was lead to the room where they had been later that say and soon she found her self in a room with some of the most powerful gods. They were having a party for the head god and she saw that his wife was with child. Every one was having a goof time until the gods evil twin brother walked in. Every one was astonished and angry that he showed up. He said that he was here to have a good time and that he only wanted to wish his brother a happy celebration, but that was not the case.

THE RED PYRAMID:
Today in my reading Carter did not sleep that well but he did his best. Sadie could not sleep at all so she just decided to wonder around. She did not no how to get out of her room but them she remembered to say shatter in Egyptian and then the door was open. She went down a hall and saw all kinds of cool pictures of people and even got lost. Once she got back on track she saw where they had first been and how she saw all of those floating Hieroglyph and went to them. She closed her eyes and she was suddenly in a room with some of the most memorable gods that ever walked the face of the earth.

Then the gilr that saved them said something in Egyptian and out of no where a weird man and a Pharaoh popped out of no where. They asked the children where they came from and who they were. The children explained to them. After that they were all sent to their rooms and Carter and Sadie were separated. Carter went to the boys dorm room and Sadie went to the girls room. They were both very restless and knew that they had a long night ahead of them.

Today in my reading, the girl who saved there lives led them into the tunnel and they saw all sorts of cool things. They saw people practicing magic, children talking in to little pots and some people were just walking around. The asked the girl what the children were doing while they were whispering into the pots but she said that they were not whispering into pots, they were connecting some outer spirit thing. She lead them to the end of the little room and they said that it did not feel like they were walking for very long because the room looked huge,but she told them that they had walked about 20 miles and that distances were much smaller in the magical world.

Today in my reaing, the girl who saved their lives took them to an air port and and lead them. carter asked her why they were at an airport and how would that help them find theie father but she said that the answer lied beneath the air port. She lead them to a closet that had a tiny closet in the back of it. She opened the door and there was about a thousan stairs that just kept on going and going and going. Once they got to the bottom they saw all kinds of Egyptian people that dressed like they would normaly dress.

Today in my reading, Hannah went to her uncle Schumel's wedding. There she met some girls and they started to ask her where she was from and she told them where but they all just thought that it was a joke. She told them that it was true and she started to tell them of her friend and she said that she was her best friend. The girls asked if this so called friend or best friend of hers was Jewish. Hannah told them no. They thought that that was horrible and that she otto only have friends that are Jewish or not have or just not have any friends at all.

Today in my reading, Hannah was greeted by a strange man who told her that she looked more like a young Lady than a little girl. Her cousin or uncle was about to have his wedding and her stated to talk about the wedding night and the strange lady said not to talk about it in front of the child. Hannah said that it was alright and that she knew all about the wedding night. They were all appalled and told her that she should not talk or know about such things. The two men left to go and tend to the chickens out side and the woman told Hannah that she she needed to prepare for the wedding.

Today in my reading, Hannah was transformed from a time period and a different place. One minute she was in her regular house and then she was in a different place and she was so confused. When she looked she saw a woman and a man. The woman told her that she was okay and that her parents had died from a terrible illness and that she was saved because the doctors were able to save her. She kept telling the woman where she was from and that this was all wrong. Eventually she thought that this was a dream and that she had too much wine.

THE RED PIRAMYD:
Today in my reading, Carter and Kala had to go with the cat who turned into a woman because vicous creatures ate their pet alligator and started to reck their house. The cat got them a really cool fast car and they were off to face the rest of their deadly adventure. On the way they ran into a serpent, scorpians woman who threatend to kill them. Their protector at the time told them to run and find saftey. They asked if she would be ok. She said that she would but they could tell that she was lying. They ran anyway because they new that they had to get to safty to try and find their father.

Today in my reading Sadie and Cassie went along with what the father wanted to do. They went to the museum and they were told to not break any thing and mind their manners. When the boss man left that was telling them all of these things, The father told them to go and lock him in the room and not to come back to where he was for a while. So they locked the man in the room and when they looked back all they saw was a blue light coming from the room where there father was and they started to get scared.

Today in my reading, the men finished talking and the dad took both carter and Sadie on a fun filled day to remeber. First they went to a monument ype thing. Sadie thought that it was lame and started to get mack into the car, but then her dad started to talk about her mother. Since there mother died at the age of six, they never knew how she died. There father tried to tell them bit then out of no where to strange people apperared and he rushed to get into the taxi. Next they were off to the museum and they seemed quite happy, but little did they know that they were gonna loose a family memb er.

Today in my reading, Carter and the father wet to visit his sister Sadie. Once they got there they saw a very strance man standing acraoss the dtreet summoning the father. Carter went to get Sadie and they ran to see what the father and that strange man were talking about. The man kept saying what about the children and dont do it. He kept warning dad not to do it and he told him that is was not the right time. The two men saw the children and immediatley stopped talking.

Week 7: Thursday and Friday

Today in my reading, Kayla turned around and saw that the familier voice was coming from an old '' friend'' Nedra. Nedra was telling the news reporters about how kayla was going insane and that she hated her mother and that she was gonna burn the house down. Nedra said that she did not think that Kayla would really do it but she did so that is why she is in the situation that she is in now. Kayla picture came up on the screen and the reporter said that if any one saw her they must report her. Kayla paniced. She thought that people saw her so she began to run but instead she nocked a waiter down spilling all of her orders on her. Once Kayla finally got out side she was thinking how could Nedra do that.

Today in my reading, Carter had basically spent his whole life with his dad since his mother dies at the age of six. His sister Sadie on the other hand spent her whole life with her grandparents in England where she attended a school and had a normal life. Carter wanted to awitch places with her and Sadie wanted to switch places with Carter. One, Saide had always wanted to spend time wih her father just like carter was able to do. On the oher hand carter wanted to live a normal live and have normal friends and not have to live out of a suit case.

Today in reading, Kayla finally escaped from the Hospital but it was very hard. Once she escaped she was still kind of sedated from all of the medicin that they gave her so she vomited and fell into a very string daze. Once she woke up she puked again and then she went back to sleep. The third time she woke up she felt very hingry and sick. She began to walk and try to fing the nearest convienient store or resturaunt. She found a resturaunt and rushed in quickly. She waslked in and purchased her meal. Just as she was about to leave, sshe heard a familier voice on the televisin. It was Nedra.

Today in my reading, Kayla was still in the hospital and she was very scared. The nurses had just told her to stay put so that they could call the doctor in to giver her a barcode tatoo. Just then a very loud crashing sound arose and the nurses looked at each other very nerviously. The patient in the next bed had just fallen over and was in need of help. The ran to help them and walked out of the room. Kayla new that this would be her only chance to escape and she had to take it. She unhooked her self and began to walk out of the room. She walked pass mirrors, doctors, people, and cameras, but no one seemed to notice her. For this, she was very greatful.

Today in my reading, Kayla mother told her all about the babies and how they were having chips put into their feet and that that would replace the bar code. Kayla tried to calm down and more so calm her mother down but it did not work. She wen into the kitchen for a minute and a second later found her mother burning her self. He mother told her that if she could not remove it surgically then she would burn it off. Kayla ran to the sink and got some water and tried to stop the fire from burning her mother to smithereens but she failed. The next thing she could remember is waking up in a hospital bed and calling for her mother. She asked the doctors for he mother. They said " sorry, but your mother did not make it."

Today in my reading, Kyla stormed form Zeakel's house because she was so upset that he lied to her about the barcode thing. He tried to reason with her but she just kept waling and headed towards the bus. As she rode home she was so confused and felt very betrayed. She went through a series of emotion, fist sad, then happy, then angry, it was all happening so fast. When she got home she saw that the frindt door was left open and she was worried. She walked inside and the carpet was soaked. She saw her mother at the top of the stair. HE mother was obviously drunk, but Kayla asked if she was doin ok any way. She said that she was not ok because she had just been to her old hospital and she found out that instead of waiting till the babies turn 18 to the barcode, they are iplanting little ships into their feet where all of their informaation will be held for the rest of their lives.

She was very hurt when she found out and she tried to ask him if it was true but all she got back was a studdered answer. He told her that his was the way of the future and that she just needed to deal with it. He said that mabey this is the right thing to do and mabey it is the easier way to live. Today in my reading, Kayla was talking to her friends that had to move away because a the bar code mishap when she was interrupted by her mother. Her mother came in stumbling over every thing because she was drunk. She had been that way ever since Kayla's father had committed suicide and ever since she found out about the Bar code. Today in my reading, Kayla was talking to her friends that had to move away because a the bar code mishap when she was interrupted by her mother. Her mother came in stumbling over every thing because she was drunk. She had been that way ever since Kayla's father had committed suicide and ever since she found out about the Bar code. Week 6: Monday
THE BARCODE:
Today in my reaing Kayla got an email from her friend that recently had to move away because her parents were having trouble with there barcodes. The email said that she was not having a good time and that her parents basically had to rely on her for things because her barcode was the only one that would work for now. Her friends also said that they were living at her cousin's place and that her cousin thought that ther barcode was very bad and she did not want any one to use one. She also thought that any artificial product used to make a man or woman youger that is was wrong because we were all meant to age naturally and that nothing should stop that.

Today in my Reading, Kayla went onto a virtual world and was taken to a place near the Condac mountains. When she got there she saw people and got a western sort of feel. She saw a woman and the woman had told her that she was waiting for her. She went over to the woman and the woman asked her if she knew what a soul was and if she did not then what were some of her questions. Kayla thought that this was strange because this was the exact thing that she was thinking od a couple days ago.

Today in my reading, Kayla found herself in side a secret meeting. She had met up with one of her frinds and they told her about it so she just followed. The meeting was a bout resisting the barcode. They have all otived what the barcode has been doing to people and the wanted to stop it. Kayla told them about her friend and how the barcode had gotten her friend's father out of a job and how they no longer had a plaace to live. She even told them about how it had drivin her father from a happy man to a very depressed man who would soon commit suicide.

Today in my reading, Kayla was talking to a guy who might have had the information on the bar code and all of the weird things that were happening. He said that he knew a guy who knew a guy who could possibly get then in to the big computer room to find out some more information. two day after he went crazy at his job and died. After that Kayla did not know what to do. She kept feeling something funny in her stomach and she thought that maybe he was just hungry so she ate. That feeling was not hunger. It was loneliness.

Today in my reading, Kayla did not want to get the bar code tatoo and her friend said that she neede to get it so that she could go places with out having to puul out an ecard. The barcode was a tatoo that had all of you medical, and basically all of their information. She did not eant it because she thought that if she got it she would be just like another item on the big shelf of life. Her friends sadi that if she didnt get one then she could not get a job and for the most part that was true. When she came home frome school that say she saw that her father had commited suicide.

Today in my reading, all of the kids with wings also known as the birds kids got a job showing people what the can do and how well they can fly. They did a series of tricks and all of the people were amazed. They finished and started talking with the people and playing games when out of nowhere a bullet came across all of there faces. They told every one to scatter and to duck and hide. The bad thing was, none of the audience knew that this was an attack. They thought that this was all apart of the act.

INDIGO'S STAR: 2/1/11
Today in my reading, Indigo was now being forced to go to school and he did not want to go. His parent said that just because a bully is bothering you that is no reason to want to miss school. He said that he would go , but he had a plan. Right when the bus came he would get on and then when his parents stopped looking he would hop off of the buss and every thing would be great. The only problem was that his little sister would be keeping an eye in him the whole day and if she did not see him at school then he would be in big trouble.

Today in my reading, Indigo's first day back at school was very close and he was very nervous. Be fore he got sick and had to miss a whole semester he had to big bulleys that would mess with him every day and he could not do any thing about it. Once they to him into the bathroom, beat him up, and then after all of that they put his head in the toilet and flushed. That morning was very hectic and he was not sure that he wanted to go back. He was even thinking about faking sick.

Today in my reading, Harold put himself in great danger. He was going to go and tell his boss that he could not do it any more but his boss said that he belonged to him now and that he could not quit. He told him that he did not care what he said and his boss pulled out a knife and started to threaten him. He got scared and was about to give in and just at that moment he saw one of his friends and was able to get away.

Today in mu reading Harold was going to tell his new boss that he did not like what they were doing and that he wanted to quit. When he did tell his boss that he got beat up and a knife in his chin. His boss told him thy ge belonged to him now and that nothing could change that. Harold was scared and he knew that he could not tell anyone anything because that would be putting their life in danger too. All he wanted to do was help his grandmother with the bills but instead he is now running for his life.

Today in my reeding Harold was not liking his new job so much. He felt really bad giving those people the drugs just so he could get money, but he knew that sins he already started to do this he had to finish it. His new boss was still the same. Some days he would be nice and other days he was ready to beat the world up. Harold just made sure that he stayed clear if him and that he never got on his bad side.

Today in my reading, Harol was still telling his grandmother that he was working at the super market even though he wasn't. He felt really bad about it but he knew that he had to do something to help her out. He was doing pretty good at his knew joband he thought that everything was gonna be ok, but he could sense that somthing was about to happen, something very bad. His new boss was not the easies person to get along with at tomes and at other tomes he would play Mr. Niceguy so he could get what he wanted, but Harold coould see right through that.

Today in my reading, Harold was struggling at his job. He kept spilling things and bumping in to people and just making a big mess where ever he went. His boss was constantly fussing at him and yelling about his being clumsy. He thought that he should just quit because he could not seem to do any thing right buthis boss said that he had nad luck in the past with people who did his job and that he was holding up pretty wel. At that moment, Harold got his first paycheck.

He thought that he should except the job, but he knew that his grandmother would not approve and that she would not be very happy about that. Today in my reading, Harold's grandmothere fell down the stairs and got some sirious injuries. She had to go to the hospital and stay for three days and when she got hom and saw the bills she did not know how they were gonna be able to afford it. Harold offered to get a job but his gand mothere sid that he needed to focus in his studies and that every thing was going to be okay. He got a visitor for his grand mother and the sat and talked for a bit. After she left he just sat and wodered how he could help out with the bills because he knew he had to do something.

Today in my reading Tyray thought that he was going to get his weapon earlier than planned because this boy told him to meet in the ally behind the gym at 11: 00 and the would do there bussiness then. The boy asked how much money Tyray had and he told him $40. The boy nodded and told him to be there at 11:00. When Tyray got there he heard a voice that said down the ally, he followed and to his surprise the boy was not there. Instead it was a bunch of older, taller, bigger, buffer, boys who were gonna beat him up and rob him of his money.

Today in my reading Tyray had a plan to get reveng on every one who was messing with him. He was going to go get a denfensive weapon to get his payback. HIs teachers and parents were asking him if he was unhappy or depressed not knowing his plan and all he said was he was ok. He talked to a guy about his plan and the guy told him that it would cost him and thatis he wanted it he would have to pay in full price cash. He said that he did not have the money right now but he would get the money and that he would be back.

Today in my reading Tyray got into a lot of trouble with his father. When his father heard that he was fighting and bulluing at shcool he was furious and told Tyray's mother to leave he room. She beggrd him to stay but he told her to get out. After the mother left, Tyray's father pinned him up against the wall and told him that if he ever did something like this again he would bust his other hand and not think twice about. Then after that Tyray's father split his lip and slapped him in the face and walked a way like nothing was wrong.

Today in my reading tyray finally went back to school after his fight. Four days ago he was involved in a fight that included him and a nother smaller boy than him, but before the fight every ine was afraud of him and he was a major bully. When the smaller boy beat him up every one cheered and laughed. Since then people have b3een picking on him, making fun of him and even trying to bully him and make hinm feel the same wasy that they did when he tried to bully them.
