THE DEVIL'S ARITHMETIC:
Today in my reading, Hannah went to her uncle Schumel's wedding. There she met some girls and they started to ask her where she was from and she told them where but they all just thought that it was a joke. She told them that it was true and she started to tell them of her friend and she said that she was her best friend. The girls asked if this so called friend or best friend of hers was Jewish. Hannah told them no. They thought that that was horrible and that she otto only have friends that are Jewish or not have or just not have any friends at all.
